Music Department Awards Banquet

The 2017 Music Department Awards Banquet was held Friday evening, May 12th.

This year's award winners included:  

Connor Lechtenberg (Most Improved - Band), Haley Ray (Spirit Award - Choir), 

Brooke Hedrick (Spirit Award - Band), Annie Williams (St. Cecilia Award), 

Chris Ortiz (Most Improved - Choir), Serena Berrey (MVP - Choir), Nic Cortez (MVP - Band)

Festival of Music

The 2017 Festival of Music was a huge success full of good food, music and fellowship.

The concert portion began with the Guitar Methods classes performing.

Next, Senior, Serena Berrey sang her farewell song "For Good"

Next the Spirit of Tolton Singers took the stage and performed Homeward Bound, Tomorrow and Skyfall

Next Veronica Tarka peformed Minstrel Impressions from Ciclo Brasileiro

Grace Notes Show Choir took the stage next - they danced and sang two different selections.

Want You Back/ABC and You're the One That I Want.

Next was the State Qualifiers.

Serena Berrey sang Le Viollette

Nathan Holtmeyer performed Cabin

Nic Cortez performed movement II of the Hook Sonata

The Flute Trio of Brooke Hedrick, Annie Williams and Jewel Smith performed Gavotte in Rondeau

Veronica Tarka performed the Cat and the Mouse.

Finally the Blazer Concert Band took the stage and performed several selections including their contest pieces of Alamo March and Conundrum.



They also played a programmatic piece called Sidetracked.


They finished with playing the selections from Harry Potter and a medley of movie title songs from Star Wars, Jurassic Park and ET.
